When do you feel most connected to your body? “I feel the most at home in my body when I’m doing my skin-care routine—when I’ve just got out of the shower and I’m starting to do my face—because I’m with myself and paying a lot of attention to detail and appreciating my body.”
How does acting affect your relationship with beauty? “Whether we like it or not, our industry is completely based on aesthetics. Once you get to a certain level where everyone can act, it becomes about what you look like—what you look like compared to this person, what you look like together with this person, what it looks like as a whole—which can make it incredibly brutal. And 99 times out of a hundred, you’re rejected because you look how you look.”
